Censorship is almost always an admission of fear masquerading as authority. When an individual or a regime lacks the internal weight to withstand scrutiny, their only remaining tactic is to alter, silence, or erase the mirror that reflects them.
True integrity never requires enforced consensus. It possesses a quiet self-sufficiency that invites inquiry because it has nothing to conceal. The frantic impulse to suppress another person’s clear voice or honest perception reveals not strength, but an underlying dread that one’s own fragile construct cannot survive an authentic contrast.
