I compose on X with greater facility than here on BackChannels because the urge to explain the state of affairs has been reliable provoked and the publishing, so far, decisive and immediate. The impact, however, feels low, and the site overall appears untrustworthy, more the tool of the bigot from South Africa’s power than representative of the power of responsible and truthful media. Be that as it may, I’m still active on the X platform but very tired of relaying and repeating the truth about Donald, his criminality, and his pirating the state for himself.
#Criminals and #Dictators for fear of being found out, humiliated, imprisoned, and shamed have to lie their way through their lives. Image matters. Privacy and some secrecy (as with personal matters in general — ain’t nobody’s business but our own!) — are generally understood and considered beneficial to persons, families, and communities.
We all have our private lives.
In politics, the politician who would be a dictator may only control his image through the control of the media.
Trump stepped off by demonizing the majors through his epithet, “Fake News!” Now he’s suing the same at every chance: he just doesn’t like the way he, in fact, makes himself look in the mirroring observations of most of the world’s journalists. So what does he do? He makes things up.
#TrumpLies – to himself first, then to #MAGA, and then to #Americans.
#VladimirPutin, the same kind of person as Trump, does the same thing and now has #Russia dying on the lost and twined causes of medieval conquest and tribute (most of all to himself). He’s a wealthy man with a dead soul, and in that regard, he’s completely worthless.
–At least four people including a 12-year-old girl were killed in Kyiv after Russia launched hundreds of missiles and drones at Ukraine overnight, according to officials.
Strikes were reported at a state medical building, a kindergarten and a shopping centre in the capital and video showed an apartment building on fire.–
The indictment is the latest sign that the president is making good on his promise “to turn our justice system into a weapon for punishing and silencing his critics”, said Mark Warner of Virginia, the top Democrat on the Senate intelligence committee.
“This kind of interference is a dangerous abuse of power. Our system depends on prosecutors making decisions based on evidence and the law, not on the personal grudges of a politician determined to settle scores,” Warner said.
–President Donald Trump said Saturday that he will send troops to Portland, Oregon, and to immigration detention facilities around the country, authorizing “Full Force, if necessary” and escalating a campaign to use the U.S. military against Americans that has little modern precedent.
Trump said in a social media post that he was directing Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to provide troops to what he dubbed “War ravaged Portland” as well as “any of our ICE Facilities under siege from attack by Antifa, and other domestic terrorists.”–
When Katie Crook heard the news on Thursday that President Trump was imposing 50 percent tariffs on imported kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities, she immediately thought about Italian-made kitchens and American oak.
“There is a difference between U.S. oak and European oak,” said Ms. Crook, whose firm, Heritage Cabinetry and Design in Santa Barbara, Calif., designs cabinetry that is built to order by companies in the United States, Canada and occasionally Europe. “European oak has a tighter grain and is a little bit more durable,” she said, adding that cabinetry made in Italy has an “ultramodern” look that isn’t easily replicated.
The purge–perhaps an opening curtain on persecutions to come–looks as bad as it appear without basis in reality, but when the nation accepts the election of a criminal, this is what it gets–>
Emil Bove, the acting No. 2 official at the department, offered no evidence those targeted had done anything improper, illegal or unethical. Instead he cited a legal technicality.
Those informed of their dismissals had been hired to investigate the Jan. 6 riot as the office struggled to manage what became the largest prosecution in the department’s history.
The acting attorney general on Monday fired more than a dozen prosecutors who worked on the two criminal investigations into Donald J. Trump for the special counsel Jack Smith, saying they could not be trusted to “faithfully implement” the president’s agenda, a Justice Department spokesman said. /
Justice Department veterans called the firings an egregious violation of well-established laws meant to preserve the integrity and professionalism of government agencies.
The process of converting American Democracy into a politically absolute system of patronage, i.e., a dictatorship, has only just begun. However, it may be hampered and ended by cooperative resistance through the ranks of moderate Democrats and Republicans and all displaced or threatened with as much as if by a deeply criminal and traitorous king deserving little respect for his crimes and treason. Donald Trump may have won an American election but he has only outrun the law with the indictments processed against by our fellow Americans–election interference; classified documents abuse; attempted election fixing.

Below: a glance at related news. By taking apart America’s Federal Government from the highest level down, Trump provides himself greater passage as a lawless and ruthless dictator. He’ll figure out the he cannot purchase an American conscience or repair the damage he will now bring to the careers and lives of the best and most experienced of American Federal servants, but having neither conscience nor empathy–or normal boundaries and limits–those disruptions and related suffering will not register with him. His cocked-up narrative: he’s the victim!

I have tired of answering, correcting, responding, re-posting on dumb Donald Trump, today a convicted felon with two serious national security-related trials ahead of him–one for election interference, the other for classified documents abuse–and then there’s the case in Georgia where he tried to fix election results by applying muscle or intimidating someone he thought would do that for him.

In theory (!) — in empiricism and in relation to reason itself, all knowledge must be fallible but not easily dislodged — the process that starts with “Narcissistic Mortification” leads to covering (denying, disowning, forgetting) that trauma, deciding that it’s not going to happen again, and inventing (“Splitting”) an undamaged and unassailable courageous-heroic image that may then be asserted and defended through various methods. The lying covers something awful (have some empathy) but also creates something horrible, i.e., a monstrously malignant personality, and one that exceeds the boundaries of high self-esteem and a healthy strut. 🙂 Signal–this both informed and intuitive: delusional, grandiose, messianic ideation absent of normal boundaries and limits, i.e., the parameters of normal conscience.
The lies and sophistry not only defend the projected courageous-heroic image of the person but become part of the machinery of the theater around that person. Blind loyalty–but loyalty!–and sycophancy become more prized than character, expertise, humanity, integrity, etc., or, one might suggest, that which comprises the goodness of the good.
